I am starting this community in order to have a support community for fitness and health! Several of my friends (LJ and real-life) are trying to live healthier lifestyles, and I think that having a strong support system will make things easier.
I'm going to start things off by listing my goals for the month of January:
-Bike to and from work every day that weather permits.
-Eat one large, veggie-loaded salad per day.
-Eat two servings of fruit per day.
-Get to the gym at least four times a week.
-Stop "boredom eating."
-Be able to do 45 minutes of cardio without feeling like I'm going to die.
So, that's me. To help myself keep track of this stuff, I joined the National Body Challenge on discovery.com. It's helpful in figuring out healthy meals and workout plans, which is great, but I'm only following it loosely and using the fitness and weight tracking tools.
Anyhow, feel free to state your goals or talk about anything related to health or fitness here. I just want this to be a friendly forum where we can help each other stay on track.
